High-level launch event on the coming Horizon Europe programme
Horizon Europe, the new research and innovation framework programme is just about to kick off. On this occasion, the Ministry for Innovation and Technology and the National Research, Development and Innovation Office organise a high-level online launch event on 29 March 2021, with Mariya Gabriel EC Commissioner, Dr. László Palkovics, Minister for innovation and technology and Martin Kern, Director of the Budapest based European Institute of Innovation and Technology. Hungarian Innovation Forum
The Ministry of Innovation and Technology and the National Research, Development and Innovation Office organise a nationwide consultation that involves local and regional businesses, knowledge centres and professional organisations, covering 25 venues from 5 February until 6 March 2019. The roadshow implemented in wide cooperation of the stakeholders includes all the counties of Hungary with the objectives to ground the Hungarian innovation ecosystem being re-organised and to assess the needs relating to the system of RDI calls being renewed. The forum is supported by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a main professional partner.

ICT Info day: H2020 calls for proposals in information and communication technologies
The National Research, Development and Innovation Office is holding an information day on 9 November 2018 on the 2019 calls in the Information and Communication Technologies part of Horizon 2020. The event will open with a presentation from Alessandro Barbagli, representative of the Research Strategy & Programme Coordination Unit of the European Commission, Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT). The Research Strategy & Programme Coordination Unit is responsible for developing the work programme strategy and coordinating calls for proposals.

EUREKA German-Hungarian Proposers Day and Matchmaking Event

The National Research, Development and Innovation Office of Hungary in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) is organising an RDI forum for innovative companies and institutions to enhance German-Hungarian cooperation in the framework of EUREKA initiative. The national and international deadline of the bilateral call is 30 May 2018, the overall budget from the NRDI Fund is HUF 750 million (EUR 2.4 million).

Power of excellence is the only way to sound science diplomacy
Efficient science diplomacy can be pursued only on the basis of excellent scientific and R&D achievements – József Pálinkás said to Hungarian diplomats on 3 June, the opening day of a conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Budapest.
