The call encourages domestic businesses to engage in the in-house development of new, marketable products, services and technologies with significant intellectual added value. Small and medium enterprises and large companies may apply independently or in consortium for HUF 100 to 600 million in funding for certain RDI activities reaching at least the prototype or MVP (minimum viable product) phase. The call is open to project proposals that fit in with one of the sectoral priorities identified in the National Smart Specialisation Strategy.
The call is financed from the NRDI Fund and is open to applicants in the Central Hungary region (Budapest and Pest county).
Submission of applications
The applications have to be submitted electronically on the Participant Portal (Pályázati e-ügyintézés) which can be reached through the www.palyazat.gov.hu website. Along with the application finalised in the online application form, applicants have to submit a duly executed statement certifying the electronic submission of the application. Submissions are accepted from the announcement of the online application form as long as available funds last, but no later than 15 May 2018 at 14:00 (CET).
The call is open to legal entities with registered seat, business premises or branch office in the Central Hungary region or the Central Hungarian branch offices of legal entities with registered seat in the EEA, individually or in a consortium of maximum 3 members, provided that they have at least two completed business years, maintain double-entry accounting and are not subject to the simplified entrepreneurial tax (EVA) or the small taxpayers’ itemized lump sum tax (KATA).
Eligible objectives and actions
Project proposals have to fit in with the sectoral or horizontal priorities identified in the National Smart Specialisation Strategy, and have to be implemented in the applicant’s seat, business premise or branch office in the Central Hungary region registered before the submission of the application. The following activities are eligible (only experimental development can be funded if the applicant applies independently):
The budget is proposed to be HUF 20 billion.
Applicants can apply for a non-refundable support of min. HUF 100 million, max. HUF 600 million.
Duration of the project
Funded projects shall be implemented within 36 months from project launch. Eligible project costs can be declared from the start date specified in the grant agreement. The applicant shall maintain the project results for 3 years.
