EU funds for RDI are open for applicants from Central Hungary

Two new calls for proposals were announced under the Competitive Central Hungary Operational Programme (VEKOP) to boost the research, development and innovation activities of businesses and to promote the development of an infrastructure that can be competitive in international cooperation schemes.

Micro, small, middle sized and large enterprises applying for the call ”Funding to RDI performed by businesses” (VEKOP-2.1.1-15) announced on January 22, 2016 can compete for funds in the range of HUF 50 to 500 million (approx. EUR 160 to 1600 thousand) for the development of new, marketable products, services and technologies containing a substantial amount of intellectual added value. The total available budget is HUF 5 billion (EUR 16 million), and project proposals can be submitted from February 29, 2016.

The call ”Reinforcement of the research infrastructure – internationalization, networking" (VEKOP-2.3.3-15) aims to reinforce Hungarian knowledge centers and supports Hungary’s successful participation in international cooperation schemes through the development of the research infrastructure. With this in view, higher education institutes, as well as academic and other research institutes can compete for funds in the range of HUF 50 to 500 million (approx. EUR 160 to 1600 thousand). The total available budget is HUF 2 billion (EUR 6.5 million), and project proposals can be submitted from May 11, 2016.
