Deputy Director General, Director, Research Fellow, HUN-REN Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics, Institute for Lexicology
Veronika Lipp has been Director of the Institute for Lexicology at the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics since 2021 and serves as Executive Deputy Director General of the Research Centre since December 2024. She earned her PhD in 2011 and worked for 15 years as a lexicographer on the Comprehensive Dictionary of Hungarian project. Her main research interests include monolingual lexicography and corpus building. Since 2020, she has been a member of the Lexical Knowledge Representation Research Group.
She is actively involved in several EU-funded lexicographic projects and international professional organizations. Since 2023, she has represented Hungary in EFNIL (European Federation of National Institutions for Language), and is a member of EURALEX, the ELEXIS Association, and the European Association for Terminology (EAFT). She is also a member of the public body of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, as well as its Permanent Interdepartmental Committee of Hungarian Linguistics and its Dictionary Committee.
