Conferences

A two-day workshop that aims to forge business and investment partnerships between Hungary and Kuwait started in Budapest on Wednesday. State secretary for foreign affairs and external economy Péter Szijjártó said at the opening of the first Hungarian-Kuwaiti KFI Workshop that he saw opportunity for cooperation in the life sciences as well as energy, water management and infocommunications sectors. He said the goal of the two countries' cooperation is to involve Hungarian companies in Kuwait's five-year, $130 billion national development plan, to put Hungary on Kuwait's “investment map,” and to put Hungarian research and development capacity to work on development projects in the Arab world. He said a recent agreement signed by Hungary's National Innovation Office (NIH) and Kuwait's National Technology Enterprise Company (NTEC) clears the way for Hungarian companies to participate in development projects.

SUPPORT THE BUDAPEST BUSINESS JOURNAL

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
