The Observatory takes part in the development and researches of the international statistics and creates an information system which provides adequate knowledge to understand the trends. By this it contributes to good governance, to the competitiveness of the RDI policies, to the research strategy of the enterprises and research organizations.
The Kaleidoscope is the information system of the National Innovation Office’s Science and Technology Observatory which is designed to promote the networking of the RDI stakeholders. The Kaleidoscope includes establishment and operation of the Science and Technology Observatory and furthermore it creates a homogenous RDI analysing database which contains the sector’s relevant organizations and those data and analysis which are important for the policies. On the basis of the database the affected parties from the field of RDI are involved to the exploration of the sector’s problems and to the formulation of the possible solutions. Furthermore the data of the system and its services help the networking of the organizations from the public sector and others as well, their strategy-planning and market analyses activities.
