Further to the peer-reviews of independent experts (at least four reviews per proposals) and the ranking set by an invited Expert Panel, the Innovation Board (see the RDI Act) voted unanimously and adopted its recommendation for funding to the President of the NRDI Office which does not diverge from the Expert Panel’s proposal. The assessment and ranking recommendation presented by the Innovation Board on proposals submitted to the 2018-1.3.1-VKE call has been agreed upon by the President of the NRDI Office.
As from 12 June 2018, the Government Decree 94/2018. (V. 22.) on the scope of activities and responsibilities of members of the Government commands the NRDI Office under the supervision of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MIT). The supervising Minister’s communication of 6 June 2018 stipulates that financial commitments under competitions funded from the NRDI Fund can be taken only upon prior consent by the Minister. To this end, the funding decision proposed on the 2018-1.3.1-VKE proposals was forwarded by the NRDI Office to the MTI as of 7 June 2017.
As advised by the Ministry, funding decision under the 2018-1.3.1-VKE call will be communicated once the handover procedure and any involved administrative duties that the changes in the Government structure bring forth are completed.
