The Horizon Europe NCP Coordination Office is being established. Let us unpack these three words: who the NCPs are, why coordination among them is needed, and how the establishment of an office represents a step forward. We discussed these questions with the coordinator of the Hungarian Horizon Europe National Contact Point (NCP) network, Dóra Fekete Pivarcsiné, and the Head of the Department for International Cooperation, Dr Borbála Schenk.
What is the EU project called Development of the RDI Ecosystem about?
Every month, we pose this question to one of our colleagues. Our goal is to raise awareness of this project, of which the office is, this time, not the organizer but the beneficiary, from multiple perspectives. Our first interviewee is Krisztina Sóvágó, who works at the Strategy and Monitoring Department and is the technical manager of the GINOP PLUSZ (EDIOP PLUS) 2.1.2-22-2024-0002 project entitled “Development of the RDI ecosystem”. Our first question to her was how this priority project differs from a general innovation project, and how it differs from government tasks related to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
The National Research, Development and Innovation (NRDI) Office and the National Innovation Agency (NIÜ) formally launched the HUF 5 billion GINOP Plus project “Development of the RDI ecosystem” on 6 February 2025.
The priority project of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office has kicked off. The GINOP PLUSZ-2.1.2-22 -2024-00002 project “Building a research, development and innovation ecosystem by providing targeted research, development and innovation services and by managing the Entrepreneurial Discovery Process” aims to strengthen performance and competitiveness, support knowledge sharing among economic partner organisations and create an accessible knowledge base in both domestic and international contexts.
