ICGEB facilitates high level research in molecular biology and biotechnology, with special attention to the needs of less developed regions of the world. Currently it has 64 member states, with Hungary joining in 1987.
The ICGEB-DIC-MOST International Fellowship Programme (IFP) supports the mobility of researchers who have already obtained their PhD to prestigious Chinese laboratories for a period of 6 or 12 months, to benefit from the expertise and technologies available in the receiving laboratories.
