On 21 February 2020, The National Conference of Student Research Societies (OTDK) won two significant awards: winning the second place of Highlights of Hungary voted for by the public and the Special Prize of Brain Bar provide further evidence that OTDK is a cohesive and constructive community of Hungarian higher education talents.

At the popular and important competition organised for the seventh time this year, 55 outstanding applicants introduced themselves to the public with works that were deemed to be domestic hits, achievements or forward-looking matters of the highest impact in 2019 by a professional panel of trustees. In the stiff competition, OTDK has left 53 valuable initiatives behind that are really worth paying attention to in Hungary today.

The second place and the Special Prize is an appreciative confirmation provided to all present and former members of the student research movement with over 60 years of unbridled success behind, to all talented young adults desiring to research and create, and to the selfless teachers, researchers and masters supporting them, that student research societies are eternal.

OTDK is a worthy match for Highlights of Hungary’s positive social message: let’s rejoice at each other’s success and be proud of our creative values.

Thank you for your joint efforts, shared success and the votes.
