This year, the conference entitled Innovation Day organised by the Centre for Innovation of ELTE will be held from 9.00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. on 12 November 2020.

The purpose of the innovation event is to promote the industrial and social exploitation of knowledge generated at the university, to strengthen and expand the relationship between the researchers/professors, students of the university and the business sector, as well as to present the financing opportunities and programmes of current innovations. At the event, the ELTE Innovative Researcher Award will be conferred and the award-winners of the 2020 Innovative Student Idea Competition will be announced while presenting the most significant success stories of the year related to university innovation. The participants of the conference will have the opportunity to learn about the University Innovation Ecosystem call for proposals and the new Proof of Concept (POC) grant programme targeting university research, as well as to get acquainted with the innovation laboratories lead by ELTE (these are large-scale development programmes aiming to develop digital heritage). Attendants can acquaint themselves with the innovation related grant programmes announced this year by the Ministry for Innovation and Technology and the actions expected for 2021, as well as the social innovation project of the Municipality of Újbuda. A highlight of the conference will be a professional round table about the Horizon 2020 framework programme of the EU where renowned experts, representing the applicants, the participating authorities and the reviewers, will discuss about the experiences gained in relation to the grant programme, while granting opportunity to the audience to ask questions and get answers. Szonja Csuzdi, Head or the Department for International Affairs of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office will also participate in the round table and will answer to questions about international grant opportunities and research projects.
