OTKA is the first to open in the series of 2023 research and innovation calls

The Ministry of Culture and Innovation and the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, which manages the calls for proposals, are committed to taking research and innovation projects to a new level of support in the future. The successive funding schemes are prepared through a thoroughly considered, systematic planning process to ensure that the domestic resources available are used in the most appropriate and efficient way.
Following the tradition of previous years, this year’s OTKA (Hungarian Scientific Research Fund) basic research programme will again be open to applications in the usual categories, covering successive stages of a researcher’s career. The application procedure and the evaluation process will follow the practice of the past years, with submission deadlines in May and decisions on funding planned for the end of October.
