Budapest, 14 October 2021 - The TOP 100 MEDIA publishing house presented the awards to the ten best innovations in the 100 Hungarian Inventions and Developments 2020 publication, while four other developments were awarded special prizes. Award winners include health, environmental solutions, learning support software and an anti-roadkill system.

Published annually by TOP 100 Media, the publication focuses on a specific topic and takes stock of the latest results and publishes them in a systematic way. In their second edition, entitled 100 Hungarian Inventions and Developments 2020, special developments and solutions from start-ups to large companies, from waste management to artificial intelligence are presented, from which an eight-member professional jury has selected the ten best innovations. Due to the pandemic, the awards ceremony was held now, where Katalin Sebők, Vice President for Business Innovation of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDI Office), presented the awards.

“We are happy to support any initiative that collects, showcases and recognises the latest innovations from the SME sector, encouraging businesses to develop their own innovations. Every day, more and more excellent Hungarian solutions worthy of recognition are being created, which enhance Hungary’s competitiveness through their social utility”, the Vice President stressed.

Four special prizes were also awarded at the event, which were presented by the Vice President of the NRDI Office, Dr. Farkas Bársony, member of the Board of Directors of AmCham Hungary, Brigadier General István Filótás, representing the Hungarian Defence Forces, and Sándor Radván, Editor-in-Chief of Top100 Media.

The aim of the publication, entitled 100 Hungarian Inventions and Developments 2020, is to collect Hungarian inventions from various fields, to promote them and to encourage more companies, researchers and start-ups to join the innovation cycle.
