Altogether 144 micro and small size enterprises in the Central Hungary region are supported from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund with HUF 10 billion (EUR 31.2 million) in funding to develop quickly marketable, innovative products, services and procedures as well as their market entry and intellectual property protection.
Applicants from Budapest and the Pest county submitted 276 proposals for the Funding to micro and small enterprises for innovation activities (2018-1.1.1-MKI) call announced by the NRDI Office this January. The programme aims to support projects which have significant novel content and high business potential and enable micro and small enterprises to evolve and turn into innovative businesses.
Based on the professional evaluation and ranking, using up the available budget in full, the decision made by Dr. Zoltán Birkner, President of the NRDI Office, provides funding for 144 micro and small size enterprises. Thus, even the smallest businesses will have their opportunity to implement promising projects and become part of the domestic innovation ecosystem.
