What’s PROBIS?

PROBIS (Procurement of Building Innovative Solutions) is a project funded by European Commission that has the general objective to test Public Procurement for Innovation (PPI) in increasing energy efficiency and sustainability of European buildings. The Hungarian NRDI office is one of the ten partners from the four countries of the consortia.
Along the project duration four Public Tenders will be launched, concerning the refurbishment of buildings with innovative solutions. The tenders will take place in Italy (Torino, Treviglio), Sweden (Börlange) and Hungary (Miskolc) and will be launched on late 2015 - early 2016.
The project is coordinated by Environment Park S.p.A. – Science and technology park for the environment of Torino (IT).

The Market Innovation Dialogue

The aim of PPI is to increase the quality of public expenditure giving public buyers the opportunity to influence the market towards innovative solutions. To test PPI an important step of PROBIS project is the engagement of the market, through the “Market Innovation Dialogue”, during which procurers and market players have to possibility to get in touch with the goal to inform the procurers of the state of the art of market innovative solution offer.
The dialogue inside PROBIS project consists of two parallel actions – Market Innovation Surveys and Market Engagement Events – creating opportunity of exchange and communication between procurers and any part of the market that will be able to meet the needs of the contracting authorities.
