The New York Hungarian Scientific Society published the Albert Szent-Györgyi Young Investigator Award in 2017.

The New York Hungarian Scientific Society is accepting applications for the Albert Szent-Györgyi Young Investigator Award supporting original research by Hungarian scientists living in Hungary or in neighboring countries. The Award was estabilished in 2015 and is funded by the generous support of the American-Hungarian scientific community.

The application is open for graduate students working for their PhD degree or scientists with PhD under the age of 35, in the fields of natural sciences, medical sciences, and mathematics.

The total value of the awards is $11,000 USD, 1x5000, 1x3000, 2x1500 USD.

The conditions for application are very simple, the grant can be used freely, the grant decision is made by board of local scientific excellencies on an open, transparent way.
