In order to facilitate the development and sharing of knowledge of and experience with innovation, CINet organizes an annual conference. The 15th conference will take place in Budapest, Hungary, hosted by Corvinus University of Budapest, on 7-9 September 2014.
The Budapest conference is the first in CINet’s history that takes place in Eastern Europe. Previous conferences took place elsewhere in Europe and in Australia.
One of the reasons for selecting Budapest is that CINet wishes to stimulate and contribute to the development of innovation practice, teaching and research in Eastern Europe.
The theme of the conference is “Operating innovation – innovating operations”. This theme reflects the increasing need for companies to make innovation part of their daily business and combine that with the adoption of state-of-the-art production concepts and technologies.
In addition to the usual academic sessions, the Budapest conference features a practitioner-oriented stream, organized by the Hungarian National Innovation Office and taking place on 8 September. The stream will consist of presentations and roundtable discussions on various topics, including Horizon 2020, the new EU framework program for research and innovation, and the Hungarian government strategy on innovation. Furthermore, there will be an exhibition / desk with information on Horizon 2020.
The registration fee for participants is 110 Euro. For application and further details see http://www.continuous-innovation.net/events/conferences/2014.html.
