The Hungarian CERN Committee (HCC) held a meeting on the 13th of March 2013 with its new president, László Korányi. The HCC discussed and decided about the Hungarian standpoint which should be represented at next week’s CERN Financial Committee and Council meeting, listened to a presentation about the current situation of the CERN@Wigner project which is under construction at the Hungarian Academy of Science’s (MTA) Wigner Physics Research Centre, and came to an agreement on a CERN particle physics scholarship.
László Korányi as a delegate of the Hungarian government at the CERN Council, will attend his first CERN Council meeting on March 21 and 22, during which he will visit, with the guidance of the local Hungarian researchers, the experiments that were realized with Hungarian participation.
