The annual Science|Business framework conference will focus on open science and open innovation – making publicly funded achievements open to all. What needs to be done, to realise this vision? The event held on 25 September 2018 in Brussels will be public: all are welcome to join in on the spot or to follow the webcast online.
Science|Business exists to bring together three worlds which should work together but too often stumble apart: industry, research and policy. Their newsletters, reports and meetings reach Europe’s most influential innovators and policymakers.
The Open! conference in Brussels will be a unique forum convening public and private sector leaders for networking, intelligence and debates on research and innovation. The European Commission will be represented by high level commissioners of DG Research and Innovation as speakers.
Highlights of the event include:
- How to finance innovation – from Juncker Plan to European Innovation Council?
- What is the mission for Horizon Europe, the next EU Framework Programme to be launched from 2021?
- Workshops on removing barriers to innovation – in artificial intelligence, defence R&D, regional development and other areas.
