New horizons to inspire national research and development

The first three announcements of the portfolio of calls to promote value-creating activities of national research, development and innovation (RDI), were published as of 25th August, offering funds of 71 billion HUF (approx. 229 million EUR) in total.

These invitations announced in line with the concepts elaborated by the National Research Development and Innovation Office as professional coordinator, aim to support the innovation activity of companies and strengthen the international competitiveness of the national research infrastructure, as well as to enhance the intellectual property protection of innovative ideas.

The call titled "Support to RDI Activities of Companies" invites entries by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as large companies, up to the available funds of 50 billion HUF (approx. 161.3 million EUR) in total. Non-refundable subsidies at the amount varying from 50 million to 1 billion HUF (approx. 161.3 thousand to 3.2 million EUR), may be claimed to implement new, marketable products, services, technologies with significant added value, or to develop a prototype for the same.
Applicants are welcome to submit their proposals as from 30th September.

The call titled "Industrial Property Law" invites entries by micro, small and medium sized enterprises as well as governmental organisations and NGOs that may receive non-refundable subsidies at the amount varying from 1 to 6 million HUF (approx. 3.2 to 19.4 thousand EUR), up to the available funds of 1 billion HUF (approx. 3.2 million EUR) in total. The objective of the call is to support activities that may serve the national or international protection of industrial property rights of the intellectual products, such as innovation search, filing or maintaining patents, assessment or audit of intellectual assets.
Applicants are welcome to submit their proposals as from 24th September.

The call titled "Strenghtening Research Infrastructure – Internationalisation, Networking" aims at strengthening our national research infrastructure and encouraging Hungarian involvement within the international research infrastructures.
Applications for subsidies are welcome as from 15th October.
