New National Excellence Programme – Call for Scholarship Applications for Bolyai+ Higher Education Teachers and Researchers

The call supports teachers and researchers benefiting from the Bolyai János Research Scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) and showing outstanding scientific and artistic research performance with any of the following expected results: utilising the research outcome within the host higher education institution; thesis supervisor activities that promote the next generation of researchers; active participation in building the institution’s academic school; promotion of cooperation between the HAS research groups and higher education institutions.

The call supports the research and creative activity and professional development of doctoral students and candidates showing outstanding academic or artistic performance with the expected result of a remarkable high quality publication or other scientific, technical or artistic work in the specific discipline while also preparing for writing the doctoral thesis (PhD, DLA).

New National Excellence Programme – Call for Research Scholarship Applications for Undergraduate Students

The call supports the research activity and professional development of talented students who have successfully fulfilled their high school studies and now pursue udergraduate studies with the expected result of a publication (scientific paper or a TDK paper) or other scientific, technical or artistic work in the specific discipline while also preparing for their masters studies.

Open Innovation (2019-1.4.1-NYÍLT), funded project

Drawing on international examples, the call for proposals aims to promote the involvement of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in tackling research and innovation issues arising at large companies but not related to their core activities, thus strengthening cooperation and knowledge transfer between them, as well as enhancing the competitiveness of the Hungarian SME sector.

Further project proposals won funding for novelty search, patent acquisition and patent maintenance projects aimed at the protection of intellectual property under industrial property law, and for activities focusing on the evaluation of intellectual property from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund.

The call aims to provide funding to experienced, talented researchers with an independent research group eager to continue their successful discovery research topic, having outstanding publication performance, and internationally acclaimed for their expertise in their field of science. The call is to promote cooperation between domestic research groups and their foreign partners, strengthen the international embeddedness of Hungarian science, and increase the international recognition of domestic researchers and research institutions.

Call for thematic research projects based on Hungarian–Austrian cooperation or Hungarian–Slovenian cooperation

The call aims to further improve Hungarian scientific excellence by promoting talented researchers and their research projects. As a priority objective, the call is to promote cooperation between domestic research groups and their foreign partners, strengthen the international embeddedness of Hungarian science, and increase the international recognition of domestic researchers and research institutions.

Call for “OTKA” postdoctoral excellence programme

Financed from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, the call contributes to the strengthening of centres of excellence in Hungary by funding young researchers having a recent doctoral degree. With the funding, young researchers with a PhD/DLA degree (postdoctors) have greater chance to become the outstanding representatives of Hungarian scientific life in the future.

Call for “OTKA” young researchers’ excellence programme

Financed from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, the call aims to support the promising research activity of talented young researchers who want to establish an independent research group and start their own independent discovery research project.

Call for applied research and development projects in Hungarian–Indian cooperation

The purpose of the call is to provide funds to Hungarian partners participating in RDI projects to be implemented in Hungarian–Indian cooperation that foster the implementation of high quality joint R&D and innovation activities.

A decision has been adopted on providing domestic funding to projects implemented in Hungarian–Israeli cooperation in the framework of international science and technology (S&T) cooperation calls.
