‘Be Smart, Think Blue’ Conference and BioHorizon Brokerage Event 2016

The event offers for the stakeholders in the area of marine and maritime research the opportunity to interact with the Smart Blue Regions initiative and to establish contacts with potential partners to address Blue Growth and Transport research topics of Horizon 2020 open for the year 2017. The event will take place in Gdansk on 19-20 September 2016.

2016 Information Day on the Horizon 2020 'Smart cities and communities'

The event targets potential applicants to the Smart Cities & Communities topic of the 2016-2017 Horizon 2020 Work Programme ‘Cross-cutting activities’, and in particular the 2017 call. The event, together with a networking session in the afternoon, will take place in Brussels on 23 September 2016.

The event targets potential applicants to the calls for 'Smart Grids and Storage' projects, which will be funded under the 2016-2017 Horizon 2020 Work programme 'Secure, clean and efficient energy', and in particular under the 'Competitive low-carbon energy' (LCE) call. The event, together with a networking session in the afternoon, will take place in Brussels on 3 October 2016.

Science diplomacy for value-creating innovation

A new approach is being applied to bilateral scientific and technological programmes, the authentic interpretation of which will be a significant task for the specialised attachés working at the foreign representation offices of Hungary, said József Pálinkás at the Science and Technology (S&T) conference organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the NRDI Office on 12 July 2016. At the event key actors of the domestic RDI sector discussed the opportunities for strengthening international RDI relations with Science and Technology attachés.

Horizon 2020 Information Day on the Research Public-Private Partnerships

An information day on PPPs in the field of research will be held 14 October 2016 in Brussels. The aim of the event is to give the research community an overview of ongoing activities in the following PPPs : Factories of the Future, Energy-efficient Buildings, Sustainable Process Industry and European Green Vehicles Initiative. Support will be given for the preparation of proposals for the 2017 calls.

The event will be web streamed and recorded.

Brokerage event and transport info day in Brussels

The information day addresses potential applicants to the Horizon 2020 ”Smart, green and integrated transport” calls for project proposals under the 2016-2017 Work programme. Presentations will cover the various topics open for submission and the application procedure, as well as provide detailed information on the calls. The event will take place 28 September 2016 in Brussels.

Report on the Research Integrity Practices in Science Europe member organisations

The report released within the framework of the Science Europe (SE) Roadmap presents the results of a survey of member organisations, undertaken in 2014 by the Working Group on Research Integrity. The aim of the survey was to map existing policies, procedures and practices for promoting research integrity and preventing and sanctioning misconduct, in the context of the member orgainisations’ activities.

Ukraine joins the Euratom Research and Training Programme
