Commission grants new particle accelerator the status of European Research Infrastructure Consortium

The European Commission yesterday granted the legal status of European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) to the European Spallation Source (ESS), a particle accelerator being constructed near Lund (Sweden). With this measure, the EU provides the facility with many administrative advantages enjoyed by international organisations and therefore helps to successfully implement the infrastructure project.

“Eastern Opening”: increasing R&D cooperation with China

H.E. Duan Jielong, new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Hungary, visited the National Research Development and Innovation Office on 12th August 2015, where he was received by President József Pálinkás. The liveliness of the Hungarian-Chinese professional relations is reflected by the fact, that this meeting took place within the first weeks of the Ambassador’s busy initiation program.
