The Call for Proposals 2022-1.2.4-EUREKA, Supporting Hungarian Participation in the EUREKA Programme, has been reopened:

The aim of the call is to support activities for the protection of intellectual property rights in Hungary and/or internationally.

The aim of the call, funded by the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, is to support RDI projects that focus on strengthening the renewed socio-economic innovation ecosystem and social and economic benefits in the spirit of renewal principles, through the development of marketable products, technologies and services.

A decision has been taken to provide domestic support for applied research and development projects in Hungarian–Moroccan cooperation in the framework of international bilateral science and technology (S&T) cooperation.

The Ministry for Culture and Innovation, through the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, using the funds earmarked from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, announced an open call for scholarship applications for the academic year 2023/2024 within the framework of the New National Excellence Programme (hereinafter: ÚNKP). The following scholarships are available: Scholarship for Bachelor Students, Research Scholarship for Masters Students, Research Scholarship for PhD Students, “Power Up Science!” Research Scholarship for Doctoral Candidates and Postdoctors, Bolyai+ Research Scholarship for Young Lecturers and Researchers, and “Power up your Talent!” Research Scholarship for New Higher Education Students.

A decision has been adopted on providing domestic funding to projects implemented in the framework of international science and technology (S&T) cooperation calls.

The German-Hungarian sub-programme aims to support joint research and development projects that will result in innovative products and solutions.

The Cooperative Doctoral Programme, which was first announced in the academic year 2020/2021, has been re-launched in the academic years 2021/2022 and 2023/2024, due to its extraordinary popularity among doctoral students. The text of the 2023 call was developed reflecting the experiences of the 2021/2022 academic year and the technical comments received, thus striving to ensure that the Cooperative Doctoral Programme meets the needs of higher education and industry.

The call supports the research activity and professional development of talented prospective first-year students who have successfully fulfilled their high school studies, have performed well on a science competition for high school students, and have applied for a bachelor or undivided masters programme. It also aims to support research activity that goes beyond the standard academic requirements of the first-year students with the expected result of a literature review or other scientific, technical or artistic work relevant to the specific discipline.

The call supports teachers and researchers benefiting from the Bolyai János Research Scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) and showing outstanding scientific and artistic research performance with any of the following expected results: utilising the research outcome within the host higher education institution; thesis supervisor activities that promote the next generation of researchers; active participation in building the institution’s academic school; promotion of cooperation between the HAS research groups and higher education institutions.

The call supports the research and creative activity and professional development of young researchers, predoctors, doctoral candidates and postdoctors showing outstanding academic or artistic performance with the expected result of a remarkable high quality publication or other scientific, technical or artistic work in the specific discipline, as well as the writing of the doctoral thesis (PhD, DLA).

The call supports the research and creative activity and professional development of doctoral students and candidates showing outstanding academic or artistic performance with the expected result of a remarkable high quality publication or other scientific, technical or artistic work in the specific discipline while also preparing for writing the doctoral thesis (PhD, DLA).

The call supports the research activity and professional development of talented graduate (masters or undivided masters) students with the expected result of a publication (scientific paper or a TDK paper) or other scientific, technical or artistic work in the specific discipline while also preparing for their doctoral studies.

The call supports the research activity and professional development of talented students who have successfully fulfilled their high school studies and now pursue undergraduate studies with the expected result of a publication (scientific paper or a TDK paper) or other scientific, technical or artistic work in the specific discipline while also preparing for their masters studies.

Financed from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, the call aims to support the promising research activity of talented young researchers who obtained their doctoral degree after 1st January 2011, want to establish an independent research group and start their own independent discovery research project.

The call aims to provide funding to experienced, talented and internationally acclaimed researchers and research group leaders, having outstanding publication performance and eager to further develop their successful discovery research topic. The call is to promote the progress of scientific excellence, and thus increase the international recognition of Hungarian researchers and research institutions.

Financed from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, the call contributes to the strengthening of centres of excellence in Hungary by funding young researchers having a recent doctoral degree. With the funding, young researchers with a PhD/DLA degree (postdoctors) have greater chance to become the outstanding representatives of Hungarian scientific life in the future.

The call aims to provide funding to experienced, talented and internationally acclaimed researchers and research group leaders, having outstanding publication performance and eager to further develop their successful discovery research topic in the frame of an international cooperation. As a priority objective, the call is to promote cooperation between domestic research groups and their foreign partners, strengthen the international embeddedness of Hungarian science, and increase the international recognition of Hungarian researchers and research institutions.

This call for proposals is launched by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology through the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (hereinafter: NRDI Office) with the aim of supporting activities for the protection of intellectual property rights in Hungary and/or internationally.
