2023 winners of the “OTKA” young researcher excellence programme (FK_23)

The call announced separately for researchers who obtained their scientific degrees not more than 12 years earlier (after 1 January 2011) (FK_23) enabled young researchers to team up and launch independent research projects in Hungary. This year 349 project proposals were submitted with a total funding request of HUF 13.96 billion. The call for thematic projects specifically targeted at early-stage researchers (FK_23) supported 87 new projects this year with a total funding of HUF 3.5 billion.

The aim of the call for proposals launched by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund (hereinafter: NRDI Fund) is to provide opportunities for existing technology incubators to continue their activities and to provide an entry point for additional incubators into the funding model, based on the principles of previous calls.
