Hungarian Innovation Forum
The Ministry of Innovation and Technology and the National Research, Development and Innovation Office organise a nationwide consultation that involves local and regional businesses, knowledge centres and professional organisations, covering 25 venues from 5 February until 6 March 2019. The roadshow implemented in wide cooperation of the stakeholders includes all the counties of Hungary with the objectives to ground the Hungarian innovation ecosystem being re-organised and to assess the needs relating to the system of RDI calls being renewed. The forum is supported by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a main professional partner.

ICT Info day: H2020 calls for proposals in information and communication technologies
The National Research, Development and Innovation Office is holding an information day on 9 November 2018 on the 2019 calls in the Information and Communication Technologies part of Horizon 2020. The event will open with a presentation from Alessandro Barbagli, representative of the Research Strategy & Programme Coordination Unit of the European Commission, Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT). The Research Strategy & Programme Coordination Unit is responsible for developing the work programme strategy and coordinating calls for proposals.

EUREKA German-Hungarian Proposers Day and Matchmaking Event

The National Research, Development and Innovation Office of Hungary in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) is organising an RDI forum for innovative companies and institutions to enhance German-Hungarian cooperation in the framework of EUREKA initiative. The national and international deadline of the bilateral call is 30 May 2018, the overall budget from the NRDI Fund is HUF 750 million (EUR 2.4 million).

Power of excellence is the only way to sound science diplomacy
Efficient science diplomacy can be pursued only on the basis of excellent scientific and R&D achievements – József Pálinkás said to Hungarian diplomats on 3 June, the opening day of a conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Budapest. Science and technology (S&T) attachés are responsible for the visibility of Hungarian RDI results and promoting the international networking of domestic stakeholders, in places of key importance for Hungary’s economic and cultural presence.

Diplomats from 11 Asian countries received by József Pálinkás
Diplomats responsible for Central Europe delegated by the foreign ministries of Asian countries were informed about the common, recently concluded or ongoing RDI funding programmes by the President of the NRDI Office. Projects in Asian countries are expected to benefit from a total budget of HUF 1 billion (EUR 3,3 million) on the basis of 2016 and 2017 funding decisions in relation to the programmes facilitating bilateral scientific and technological cooperation.

Startup Spring Bootcamp

Representatives of the National Innovation Office (NIH) and its Indian partner, the Department of Science & Technology (DST, operating under the supervision of the Ministry of S&T) held the 8th session of the Joint S&T Committee in New Delhi, on October 14th, 2013.
