Two thousand young researcher to receive up to HUF 200 thousand per month
More than ever before, a total of 2249 university students and young academics have been awarded grants under the New National Excellence Programme for the academic year 2023/2024. The HUF 3.5 billion programme was open to applications from 25 participating universities across the country.

From September, businesses can apply for R&D qualification under a new system

Vice President of the NRDI Office receives prestigious state award for his professional activities

HUF 79 billion available this year for innovation projects under the John von Neumann Programme
This week Parliament adopted Hungary’s new innovation strategy, the John von Neumann Programme, which focuses on linking universities, research institutions and the economy. This programme is implemented through the Programme Strategy of the National Research, Development and Innovation (NRDI) Fund for 2023. This year, HUF 79 billion will be available under the programme to support innovative projects.

Correct interpretation of the European Commission’s information message sent to Horizon project coordinators via the Funding and Tenders Portal

European Commission confirms that model-shifting universities can continue to apply for Horizon Europe funding
In the view of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation and the NRDI Office, the Council Decision does not prohibit the submission of proposals by universities maintained by public interest trusts established under Hungarian Act IX of 2021/ universities concerned by the Council Decision, only the signature of agreements with them, and we continue to recommend and support their application to Horizon Europe.
