In view of the spread and consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the NRDI Office extends the deadline for applying the rules included in section 3 of its notice (Notice in relation to the pandemic caused by COVID-19) published on 9 April 2020 until 31 December 2020.

Accordingly, the deadlines, set out in the Terms of Performance annexed to the funding agreements and deeds of funding (hereinafter: Funding Agreement) concluded for the implementation and financing of projects funded from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, for:

  • submission of invoices and supporting documents based on the summary of invoices; and
  • responses to deficiency notices in relation to partial and closing reports, professional maintenance and progress reports (monitoring reports); and invoices and supporting documents based on the summary of invoices

are temporarily extended by the NRDI Office to 30 days until 31 December 2020.

These provisions constitute a unilateral and temporary amendment of the Terms of Performance annexed to the Funding Agreement setting out more lenient rules in favour of the Recipients compared to those set out in the Terms of Performance. From 1 January 2021, the relevant provisions in effect before 9 April 2020 of the Terms of Performance must be applied again.
