Consultation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology at the National Innovation Office
Between August 28 and September 2, 2013, a Vietnamese delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) negotiated international relations, in Budapest. The current S&T cooperation agreement between Hungary and Vietnam was signed in 2005. The National Innovation Office in Hungary, and the Ministry of Science and Technology in Vietnam are the bodies in charge for the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement.

Secretary General Beibut B. Atamkulov, Ministry of industry and new technologies of the Republic of Kazahstan has paid an official visit to our Office on the 16th July. He was accompanied by His Excellency Nurbakh Rustemov, ambassador of the Republic of Kazahstan to Hungary. The guests were received on behalf of our Office by Vice President for International and Domestic Affairs László Korányi.

Session of the French-Hungarian Inter-governmental Joint Committee on Science & Technology (S&T)
The 20th session of the French-Hungarian Inter-governmental Joint Committee on Science & Technology (S&T) was held on June 17th 2013 in Paris with the kind cooperation of the Institut Curie. The visiting Hungarian delegation was composed of Dr. Ildikó Kovács, head of the Department for International Affairs and Mr. Zoltán Fodor, counsellor for International Affairs of the Hungarian National Innovation Office (NIO) together with Mrs. Szilvia Szántó, attaché for Science and Technology of the Hungarian Embassy in Paris.

Slovenian-Hungarian Innovation Forum, Budapest
The Slovenian Embassy of Budapest, the National Innovation Office (NIO) and the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency (HITA) jointly organised on the 29th of May 2013 in Budapest, the Slovenian-Hungarian Innovation Forum, where a little under twenty Slovenian and Hungarian companies participated. The events organised by the NIO and HITA with the foreign partner institutions give the opportunity for the companies and the regions to cooperate and build business relationships.

Seismic Base Isolation: First international conference in Hungary at the National Innovation Office
Budapest, April 24, 2013 – For the first time in Hungary, an international conference on seismic base isolation was held at the National Innovation Office (NIO) on the 24th of April 2013. Along with more than 90 participants, a Chinese delegation, led by professor Fu Lin Zhou and Mr. Ning Xiang Liang, CEO of the Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology, attended the workshop.

Public consultation of the National Research and Development and Innovation Strategy
Public consultation began about the draft of the National Research and Development and Innovation Strategy 2020, which was prepared by the Ministry for National Economy after an extensive conciliation process. Anybody can send written remarks and recommendations, or it is also possible to give an opinion about the strategy personally on one of the stages of the one-month-long consultation series, which take place in Budapest, Debrecen, Győr, Pécs and Szeged till the 6th of December 2012.
