Disciplinary councils play an outstanding role in shaping the concept of R&D programmes and calls for proposals, assessing the programmes, project proposals and reports, moreover, they also make propositions for the President of the NRDI Office in selecting members of the review panels within their disciplines to evaluate RDI project proposals. The chairs and members of the disciplinary councils are commissioned by the President of the NRDI Office for a definite period of time, attentive to suggestions made by research organisations of the given field of science.
The following four disciplinary councils take part in the assessment of project proposals to be funded from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office:
