New institutional collaboration to boost market access for businesses
Budapest, 2 February 2021 Tuesday (MTI) – The National Research, Development and Innovation (NRDI) Office and the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO) entered into a cooperation agreement to jointly promote the market entry of innovative businesses – the parliamentary and strategic state secretary of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology (ITM) announced in a press conference on Tuesday in Budapest.

New domestic call supports Hungarian participation in EIT KIC activities with HUF 500 million
The National Research, Development and Innovation (NRDI) Office provides HUF 500 million to enhance Hungarian participation in the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an EU organisation based in Budapest. EIT KICs bring together Europe’s major industrial, academic and research institutions to address societal challenges such as climate change, digital transformation, food production, health, energy, manufacturing, raw materials and urban mobility.

Second series of education events by Israeli experts for startups in the V4 countries
There was a real thirst for the online education series of the Startup Nation V4 Virtual Startups Bootcamp organised at the initiative of Israeli embassies in the V4 countries, sharing Israeli expertise and knowledge to support startups in Hungary, Czechia, Poland and Slovakia. Tamás Schanda: Further substantial support for science. Researchers have access tonearly HUF 13 billion
Researchers can apply for nearly HUF 13 billion in total in a new funding programme of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office – Tamás Schanda announced. Hungarian-Chinese call for proposals with a budget of HUF 200 million is open to promote joint research and development projects

The joint call for proposals of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDI Office) and its Chinese partner, the Ministry for Science and Technology (MOST) announced with the policy support of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology is designed to promote research and development cooperation under a bilateral science and technology (S&T) agreement of a total budget of HUF 200 million. The call is open to project proposals until 12 February 2021. The focus areas are public health, physics and artificial intelligence.
