ITM State Secretary: Record levels of resources used in domestic R&D
Budapest, Wednesday, 10 November 2021 (MTI) – R&D expenditure as a share of GDP in Hungary rose to a high of 1.61% in 2020, the highest level since 1990. The amount of funds used last year was more than two and a half times the 2009 amount, at around HUF 771 billion. The amount of state budget expenditure has essentially doubled since 2010, reaching HUF 251 billion last year,” said Tamás Schanda, Parliamentary and Strategic State Secretary of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology (ITM).
