The two-day, interactive and practice-oriented training sessions are aimed at staff from universities, research institutes and innovative companies who are planning to submit an international proposal in 2022, mainly in the fields of Horizon Europe Clusters 1 and 4: health, industry, digitalisation.
Through practical presentations and workshops in small groups based on a real 2021 call for pro-posals, participants will learn the basics of successful proposal writing, from interpreting the text of the call to building a consortium, developing a work plan and budget. The deadline for register-ing for the first training is 22 October 2021.
Dr. Zoltán Birkner, President of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office pointed out at the press conference: “The EU’s Horizon Europe framework programme, launched this year, will allocate a huge amount of money – more than EUR 95 billion – to research and innovation over the next 7 years and we want Hungary to get a much bigger slice of this cake than it has so far. To do this, we need to increase the willingness of Hungarian organisations to apply.” He added that those who are now planning to submit a similar application can benefit from the practical experience of the successful national applicants and evaluators in Horizon 2020, as well as from the knowledge of the NRDI Office’s national network of contacts. The Office therefore supports the sharing of experience and good practice by all possible means, including by organising free training sessions.
Due to the practice-oriented nature of the training sessions, participation is limited to 25 partici-pants, so please register as soon as possible. As Horizon Europe call procedures are conducted in English and so are the trainings, a good command of English is a prerequisite for participation. The training for the 1st cluster will take place on 28-29 October 2021, registration is open until 22 October. The training for the 4th cluster will take place on 4-5 November 2021, registration is open until 29 October. Applicants will be informed of the results of the selection before the train-ing.
