The call, funded from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, aims to provide support for international collaborative projects led by Hungarian higher education institutions that seek innovative solutions to challenges relevant and topical for the Hungarian and international community, in line with the focus areas of the John von Neumann Programme (NJP).

The objective of the call for proposals to be financed from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund is to strengthen the professional, operational and business capacities of Hungarian Technology Transfer Companies (TTCs). The Call contributes to a more efficient economic and societal utilisation of research results generated by higher education institutions and research institutes, to the professionalisation of technology transfer processes, and to the establishment of sustainable TTC operations generating market revenues.

The objective of the call to be financed from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund Under Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/2506 of 15 December 2022, no legal commitment may be entered into under the Horizon Europe Programme, the Erasmus+ Programme, or other EU-funded RDI-relevant and educational programmes under direct or indirect management with a public interest asset management foundation, or with a legal entity maintained by a public interest asset management foundation. The Government shall provide higher education institutions maintained by public interest asset management foundation established under Act IX of 2021 (hereinafter: “model-changed higher education institutions”), as well as other legal entities with the opportunity to participate as consortium partners in the implementation of projects awarded under the Horizon Europe research and innovation framework programme, the Erasmus+ Programme, and other RDI-relevant or educational programmes directly or indirectly funded by the EU by providing funding (guarantee) to replace funding granted under calls. Applications under this Call may be submitted for the purpose of securing domestic funding to substituting for the EU funding specified in the relevant EU call, taking into account the funding intensity specified therein.
