Mr. Philippe Vialatte, the Minister Counselor of EU Delegation, Dr. Mészáros György, the chairman of the Hungarian National Innovation Office, Mr. Philippe Martineau, the Counselor of S&T from Embassy of France, Mr. David Pho, the Counselor of S&T from Embassy of Netherlands, Mr. Christer Ljungwall, theCounselor of S&T from Embassy of Sweden and Mr. Hajba Tamás, the Consul General of Consul General of Hungary in Chongqing attended the promotion meeting. The meeting also invited more than 120 representatives of research institutes, universities and enterprises.
Academician Zhong Zhihua, the director of Chongqing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Mr. Hajba Tamás as well as Mr. Philippe Vialatte had delivered their greeting for this meeting.
Their speech stressed that it was a unique opportunity to have this seminar in Chongqing. The EU and its Member States are fully aware of the importance of Chongqing in China's economic, scientific and technological development. EU and MS Delegation then respectively made their promoting lectures about the details of EU Seventh Framework Program (FP7), horizon 2020 and other policies, frameworks, and opportunities for cooperation.
The successful seminar has provide a platform for Chongqing Universities, research institutions and enterprises to further understand the national science and technology polices of European Union as well as how to apply for and participate in these plans to be a partner, providing opportunities for cooperation between Chongqing and the EU framework programs and the member states’ own S&T projects.
