Mission and public duties
Our mission
Pursuant to the Act LXXVI of 2014 on scientific research, development and innovation (RDI Act) adopted by the National Assembly, the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDI Office) aims to create a stable institutional framework for the Government coordination and predictable funding of research, development and innovation (RDI) in Hungary, ensuring the efficient and transparent and value-creating use of available resources.

Deed of foundation
Deed of foundation of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (pursuant to Section 8/A. of the Act CXCV of 2011 on the general government). The National Research, Development and Innovation Office is supervised by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, relevant amendment of the Deed of Foundation is under process as per the Government Decree 93/2018. Researcher visa regulations
The Directive aims to ease the travel and stay of third-country nationals (i.e. nationals from outside the European Union) in the EU for research purposes, thus countering the lack of scientists in certain areas.
R&D qualification
The basic objective of the R&D qualification system is to enhance legal certainty in the use of R&D-related subsidies and tax incentives.
Agency contracts
The NRDI Office concludes framework agency contracts with the experts and boards members concerned to assist in the performance of the tasks.
