“Go East!” Workshop with Hungarian innovative enterprises

The National Innovation Office held a project generating workshop under the motto “Go east!” where promising innovative, marketable Hungarian products and technologies were presented. 18 small and medium sized enterprises were participated on the business muster which enterprises plan to bring their project to the market with the involvement of Chinese partners or capital.

On the conference, held at NIO, as guest of honour Ms. Ran Deyan, representing the embassy of the People’s Republic of China and Dr. Mihály Geiger, economy and trade commissioner of the Consulate General of Hungary at Sanghai held a speech.

The participants were representing the industries of biomedicine, water resources development, medical equipment production and renewable energy, and also the technologies of information and communication, bio and animal husbandry. The competitive and the international market-transferable, own developed innovative conceptions were presented in 15 minutes to the delegates of professional organizations, research institutions, Hungarian-Chinese joint chambers, the Asia Center, the Ministry for National Economy and NIO.

“I am convinced that these enterprises can expect considerable international interest. The NIO is committed to promote the Hungarian enterprises to get into the market, export our intellectual capital, form consortiums or other sort of cooperation. The speech of the Embassy’s representative confirmed that China is open to modern technologies, believes in Hungarian creativity and ready to cooperate with Hungary as partner and as investor as well. To my meetings in September in China a business delegation formed by the heads of the leading Hungarian small and medium sized enterprises from the field of research and development is going to accompany me, the companies which held a presentation today can join to the delegation as well. The economic power of China is well-known. Now it is our turn to present our innovations and results of the RDI sectors to spring up joint success from them” Dr. György Mészáros, president of the National Innovation Office.
