Excellence is the only way to competitive research and innovation

Hungary-Britain scientific co-operation to remain strong even after Brexit
Scientific co-operation between Hungary and Britain will be carried on within the existing framework over the next two years, but Hungary has urged early talks to keep these scientific links strong, regardless of the forms the British exit from the European Union would take, Hungary’s National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDIO or NKFIH in Hungarian) said in a statement.

Milestone in RDI programme financing
All RDI target groups received substantial funds as a result of the decisions made in the first phase of the application process. Nearly HUF 200 billion (EUR 645 million) EU and Hungarian funds were awarded for research and development and innovation (RDI) in the first evaluation rounds under the calls for proposals announced last year and this year – said József Pálinkás, President of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office at a press talk held in the NRDI Office.

Hungarian startups show in Tel Aviv

Hungarian startups meet with Israel-based businesses
The National Economy Ministry, the National Innovation Office (NIH) and the Israeli Embassy to Hungary hosted the first Israel-Hungary Innovation Day at Graphisoft Park yesterday in Óbuda. Chinese company plans to use Hungary as base
China's Zhuzhou Times New Material Tech. Co. plans to establish a base in Hungary to sell earthquake resistant building technology on European markets, the National Innovation Office (NIH) said on Wednesday. Hungary seeks to attract Kuwaiti investors
A two-day workshop that aims to forge business and investment partnerships between Hungary and Kuwait started in Budapest on Wednesday. State secretary for foreign affairs and external economy Péter Szijjártó said at the opening of the first Hungarian-Kuwaiti KFI Workshop that he saw opportunity for cooperation in the life sciences as well as energy, water management and infocommunications sectors. Hungarian firms have "breakthrough chance" in Kuwait, says Szijjarto
Szijjarto cited life-sciences, energy, water management, info-communications as areas in which serious opportunities for cooperation were on offer. He said the goal of the two countries' cooperation is to involve Hungarian companies in Kuwait's five-year, 130-billion-US-dollar national development plan, to put Hungary on Kuwait's "investment map", and to put Hungarian research and development capacity to work on development projects in the Arab world.
