University of Debrecen joins the Position Paper on Open Science

Debrecen, Wednesday, 8 June 2022 (MTI) – The University of Debrecen (DE) has also joined the Position Paper on Open Science, published earlier by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDI Office). National Biotechnology Laboratory inaugurated at the Biological Research Centre, Szeged

József Bódis: the government adopted the National Smart Specialisation Strategy

“We are working to make Hungary one of Europe’s major innovators by 2030 by increasing the efficiency of the corporate sector”, said József Bódis. The state secretary for higher education, innovation and vocational training of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology added that the new National Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3) adopted by the Government supports this ambition by, among others, striking a balance between value creation and efficiency.

NRDI Office supports all stages of scientific careers

The National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDI Office) supports all stages of scientific careers, from promising young researchers to internationally experienced researchers, through its targeted fellowship programmes and thematic calls. Among the proposals, the New National Excellence Programme (NNEP), with an annual budget of 4 billion HUF, specifically supports the next generation of researchers, while Frontline – Research Excellence Programme is for the best: from a budget of HUF 3 billion for 5 years, up to HUF 300 million can be awarded to internationally competitive research projects in Hungary.
