Benefits of the membership for Hungary

  • Every year, the ICGEB announces a call for cooperative research projects (Collaborative Research Programme – Research Grants), for postdoctoral fellowship positions, and for proposals relating to the organisation of (Postdoctoral fellowships) conferences and training courses (Meetings and Courses). The project managers have to send the proposals to the liaison officers of their country, who are responsible for the national assessment and approval. In addition, the ICGEB also offers short-term PhD fellowships in its own laboratories (Short-term Fellowships).
  • between 1988 and 2019 Hungarian research groups received a total funding of USD 1,605,900 for involvement in collaborative research projects (CRP)
  • Between 1988 and 2018 altogether 27 Hungarian researchers received USD 684,192 in total in PhD and post-doc grants.
