The VKI is an international non-profit educational and scientific organization, which provides research opportunities in the fields of aeronautics and aerospace, environmental and applied fluid dynamics, and turbo engines and transmissions.
As a centre of excellence, it operates about 50 different wind tunnels, turbo engines and other advanced test facilities, including unique ones (for example: the VKI functions as a reference laboratory for ESA).
Offers postgraduate training in the field of fluid dynamics.
Cooperates extensive experimental, IT and theoretical research on gas and fluid flow, mainly financed by governmental and international agencies and industrial actors.
