At the centre of RDI cooperation are knowledge generating universities, therefore the NRDI Office lays emphasis on properly strengthening the university RDI ecosystem. As a result, research conducted in higher education institutions – with adequate institutional framework, infrastructure and human resources and a service portfolio focusing on quality – will be able to satisfy industrial needs at the highest level.

The strengthened university RDI ecosystem will enable businesses to improve their efficiency through the targeted use of the intellectual capacity and research infrastructure available at universities. This will also enable SMEs not having the inhouse expertise and infrastructure required for the R&D project to join the innovation chain.

With professional support from the NRDI Office, Corvinus University of Budapest and University of Pannonia have both launched postgraduate programmes in innovation that will support and strengthen expertise required for the management of innovation projects on national level and, over time, it will create a sort of a network of experts in the different institutions.

In addition, in 2020, NRDI Office have launched its free monthly training programme that focuses on calls of high standard and high-quality professional contents through sharing expertise and practices accumulated in the Office.
